The selection and planning of a domestic heating system has crucial impact on comfort and also operating costs. In addition to the purchase and operating costs, environment friendliness, the reliability of the devices and the ease of use are also factors to be taken into consideration when selecting the heating system.

A versatile heating system allows the parallel use of several heat sources. This means that the owner of the building will not be that dependent on interruptions in the energy supply or on fluctuations in the price. In a modern heating system the traditional heat sources (electricity and oil) often function as auxiliary heat sources that guarantee the sufficiency of heat during peak periods. Supplementing heat sources, using renewable energy, for their part reduce the need for purchased energy.

None of the generally used heating solutions is as such good or bad; others are more adaptable to the characteristics of a building or in the life style of the people who make the selection. A heating system keeps the residential premises warm regardless of the weather, producing sufficient amount of domestic hot water. If the aim is to use as little energy as possible, it is necessary to insulate the building as well as possible. Usually, for a large building, one should obtain a heating system that produces energy at low cost even though the installation costs will be higher.  In the case of small, properly insulated buildings, a system with lower investment costs and producing more expensive heat becomes often more cost effective. The simpler a system is, the less defects there are, and the easier the system is to maintain. Once installed a heating system is not often easy or inexpensive to change later.

To select a heating system is a challenging task for both the builder of a new house and the renovator of an old one. This applies also to heating professionals. Jäspi and JÄMÄ heating devices have been developed and manufactured in Finland for more than 60 years, based on a customer-oriented approach. There have been several changes in the trends prevalent in the heating of single-family houses during the decades, due to the energy policy applied at each given time and device technology. Energy efficiency, ease of use and reliability, however, has always been required from heating systems. From these points of departure, Jäspi and JÄMÄ heating devices have been developed for Finnish circumstances and Finnish single-family houses.

You'll find a suitable heating solution from the Jäspi and JÄMÄ product range for all forms of energy, regardless of the fact whether the heating system is oil, electric, wood, pellet, wood chip, heat pump, solar or district heat or a combination of these. It is Kaukora's task to manufacture high-quality heating devices, to choose the most appropriate one with the resident of a detached house, and to be available to provide support for the duration of the entire life-span of the device.
